Vanoli frustrated by Fiorentina defending: ‘Team has talent, but must work together’

Fiorentina head coach Paolo Vanoli expressed frustration with his team's defending following a 2-2 Serie A draw against Atalanta at Stadio Artemio Franchi. Despite falling behind to a first-half goal from Charles De Ketelaere, Fiorentina took the lead through an Alieu Njie diving header and a deflected strike by Joao Mario before Nicola Zalewski equalized for Atalanta.

Vanoli emphasized after the match that while his squad possesses talent, they must learn to defend collectively as a unit and eliminate costly lapses in concentration. He noted defensive errors directly led to Atalanta's goals, leaving Fiorentina level on five points alongside Udinese and Parma near the bottom of the table.
