Pakistan head coach Mike Hesson has backed struggling batters Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman ahead of the ODI tri-series final against Sri Lanka at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium. Hesson called the pair two of the greatest players in Pakistan's cricket history and stated he expects big players to stand up in high-stakes games.
Both batters have endured poor form throughout the tournament, with Babar posting a top score of 45 and Fakhar managing a high of 16. Despite their struggles, Pakistan reached the final with three victories before an eight-wicket loss to Sri Lanka in their last league game.
