Lamine Yamal up for two La Liga awards for October with Barcelona

Barcelona teenager Lamine Yamal has been nominated for two La Liga awards for October following a strong month under manager Hansi Flick. Yamal earned a nomination for Player of the Month after recording two assists and one goal across three appearances. He faces competition for the individual honor from Kylian Mbappe, Alejandro Grimaldo, Goncalo Guedes, and Matías Dituro.

In addition to the Player of the Month nod, Yamal is nominated for Goal of the Month for his strike against Real Betis. Kylian Mbappe and Alaves player Novoa are also up for the goal award. Barcelona, whose forward Raphinha claimed the previous two Player of the Month awards, conclude October by facing Alaves at Camp Nou.
