Chicago Blackhawks rookie forward Anton Frondell snapped a six-game point drought by scoring two goals in a 5-4 overtime loss to the Boston Bruins on Saturday. Frondell recorded nine shots on goal across 19:15 of ice time following minor lineup adjustments by head coach Jeff Blashill, who added Andrew Mangiapane to Frondell's line alongside Tyler Bertuzzi.
Frondell also earned a promotion back to the top power-play unit's right flank, scoring on a one-timer assisted by Patrick Kane and Connor Bedard. Blashill praised the 19-year-old center's comfort and effectiveness in the spot, while Ben Pope noted Frondell's strong two-way play and forechecking support during the game.
