Esteban Ocon has broken his silence after Haas F1 Team shockingly replaced him with Ryo Hirakawa midway through the 2026 Mexico City GP weekend. Ocon…

Esteban Ocon has strongly rejected reports claiming that a confrontation with Haas team principal Ayao Komatsu involved physical violence. The statement followed the Haas F1 Team's decision to withdraw Ocon from the Mexico City Grand Prix weekend after Friday's practice sessions. Reserve driver Hirakawa was selected to replace Ocon, qualifying 19th ahead of making his Formula 1 debut.
The dispute reportedly developed after a tense discussion between Ocon and Komatsu on Friday evening, following friction during practice regarding tire strategies. While Komatsu confirmed that Ocon was not missing the race due to illness, the team has not disclosed further reasons for his absence, and Ocon's future for the remainder of the season remains uncertain.
