At least this season’s failure at Double-A ended with a ring down in High-A…

South Side Sox ranked right-handed relief pitcher Jarold Rosado as the Chicago White Sox's No. 100 prospect in their 2027 countdown. The 24-year-old was originally acquired by Chicago from the Kansas City Royals in July 2024 in exchange for shortstop Paul DeJong. After putting up an impressive 2.11 ERA in 2024, Rosado has struggled to adapt to the higher minor league levels.
During the 2026 campaign, Rosado posted a combined 6.85 ERA and 1.962 WHIP across 39 appearances in High-A Winston-Salem and Double-A Birmingham. South Side Sox notes that persistent control problems led to consecutive demotions from Double-A back to High-A in 2025 and 2026, marking the upcoming 2027 season as a likely final opportunity for Rosado to successfully navigate the Double-A level.
