The 23-year-old has gone from captaining NSW to a potential debut in Australia's T20 team within the space of a few weeks…

New South Wales wicketkeeper-batter Lachlan Shaw has earned his first call-up to Australia's T20 international squad. The 23-year-old was named in the squad alongside fellow gloveman Sam Harper for the upcoming five-game T20I series against England, following Josh Inglis's withdrawal to prepare for Test duties.
Shaw's selection follows his recent appointment as captain of NSW in Nic Maddinson's absence. Australian selector George Bailey highlighted Shaw's powerful game and rapid development as key factors in his inclusion alongside other emerging players such as Mahli Beardman and Joel Davies.
