India defeated the hosts 3-2 in the T20 series despite landing here just a couple of days before the lung-opener and having very little time to rest and recover in between games held at four different venues…
India head coach Gautam Gambhir commended the Shreyas Iyer-led T20 team for securing a 3-2 series victory against New Zealand. Gambhir stated that the T20 squad set the tone for the remainder of the tour, despite having limited preparation time and tight travel schedules across four venues.
Looking ahead, Gambhir challenged the ODI and Test squads to build on the T20 team's momentum for their upcoming matches. The five-match ODI series begins Wednesday, followed by two Tests starting November 19, before India faces Sri Lanka in December.
