Cleveland Guardians pitcher Tanner Bibee has won the 2026 Gold Glove Award for pitchers. Bibee earned the defensive honor after recording five Defensive Runs Saved and a 0.4 Fielding Run Value during the season.
Writer Quincy Wheeler noted that while Bibee demonstrated fielding excellence, it was not enough to overcome a 4.52 FIP and secure a playoff start. Wheeler highlighted that Bibee posted a 37% groundball rate and surrendered too many home runs off a 43% flyball rate.
