Rams head coach Sean McVay discusses the statuses of outside linebacker Myles Garrett, tight end Terrance Ferguson and cornerbacks Trent McDuffie and Jaylen Watson heading into Week 9 against the Commanders.

Rams head coach Sean McVay announced that outside linebacker Myles Garrett will practice in Week 9, opening his 21-day window to return from Injured Reserve. Garrett underwent knee surgery following the Rams' Week 1 loss to the 49ers and has been sidelined on IR since September 17. McVay noted that the team will take Garrett's ramp-up period day by day to assess how he responds in practice.
McVay also shared updates on several other injured players following Sunday's 24-9 win over the Chargers. Tight end Terrance Ferguson is likely to have his practice window opened, while running back Dean Connors will undergo surgery for a broken hand and is an IR candidate. Cornerbacks Jaylen Watson and Trent McDuffie are being monitored, linebacker Grant Stuard is week-to-week, and tight end Colby Parkinson is making progress from a rib injury.
