The New Jersey Devils defeated the Edmonton Oilers 4-3 in a shootout on Tuesday, November 3, at Prudential Center in Newark. The win also sends a strong message to the rest of the NHL that New Jersey has what it takes…

NJ.com reporter Anthony Corona claimed that New Jersey Devils forward Connor Brown will be a 'great luxury' for the team in the playoffs following their 4-3 shootout victory against the Edmonton Oilers on November 3. Brown registered a goal and an assist in the win, matching a strong performance from teammate Jack Hughes, who scored two goals and added one assist at Prudential Center.
Corona highlighted Brown's all-around play on the power play and penalty kill, calling him a key veteran leader and one of former general manager Tom Fitzgerald's best parting moves. Head coach Sheldon Keefe has also regularly praised Brown since his recent return from injury.
