West Ham United have officially appointed former player and Newcastle United star Scott Parker as their new men's first-team Head Coach. The 46-year-old former Hammers captain signed a two-and-a-half-year contract at London Stadium, taking over immediately ahead of an away Championship match against Cardiff City. Parker replaces Nuno Espírito Santo, who was dismissed with the club sitting eighth in the Championship table.
Parker will be supported by first-team coaches Steve Potts, Gerard Prenderville, and Billy Lepine, alongside Mark Noble. West Ham Interim CEO Karim Virani confirmed Parker was the unanimous choice of the board to lead the team back to the Premier League. Parker becomes the club's fourth managerial appointment since David Moyes departed.
