Kalvin Phillips and Patrick Bamford were missing from Sheffield United’s win over Preston North End on Tuesday night…

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has confirmed that Patrick Bamford and Kalvin Phillips were close to featuring in Tuesday's 3-2 victory over Preston North End. Wilder stated that the club avoided taking risks with either player but hopes both could return for Saturday's fixture against Charlton Athletic.
Bamford recently sustained a shoulder injury against Derby County, causing him to miss consecutive fixtures against Wrexham and Preston North End. Meanwhile, Phillips rolled his ankle against Wrexham and was unable to train on grass before Tuesday's match, leading Jairo Riedewald to start in midfield.
