The Knicks broke out of their early-game slump in historic fashion.

The New York Knicks scored a franchise record-tying 84 points in the first half on their way to a 135-105 rout of the Chicago Bulls at Madison Square Garden. The dominant performance marked the most points the franchise has ever scored in any half at the current arena, matching a mark originally set against the Philadelphia 76ers in November 1988.
Jalen Brunson led the charge with 26 first-half points, while OG Anunoby added 18 points during the opening two quarters. The Knicks shot 62.5 percent from the field and made 24 of 26 free throws in the first half, allowing head coach Mike Brown to rest all five starters for the entire fourth quarter.
