Jacob Duffy praised Virat Kohli's match-winning 74 off 51 balls at Eden Park, saying the Indian batter showed exceptional skill in exploiting the small ground and demonstrated no obvious weaknesses.
New Zealand pacer Jacob Duffy praised Virat Kohli following the batter's match-winning 74 off 51 balls in Auckland on November 4, 2026. Kohli steered India to a five-wicket win in the first ODI at Eden Park, bringing up his 80th ODI half-century as India chased down a revised target of 143 in just over 22 overs.
Duffy, who dismissed Kohli and previously played with him at Royal Challengers Bengaluru, noted there are few weaknesses in Kohli's technical approach. Duffy highlighted Kohli's ability to handle bounce, execute pull and hook shots, and exploit short boundary dimensions effectively.
