Virat Kohli playfully welcomed Glenn Phillips to the crease during the first ODI between India and New Zealand at Eden Park in Auckland. Kohli mimicked WWE star John Cena's famous 'you can't see me' hand gesture as Cena's theme music played in the stadium, though Phillips and batting partner Daryl Mitchell did not appear to notice.
On the pitch, Kohli scored 74 off 51 balls to lead India to a five-wicket victory over New Zealand. The performance made Kohli the first batter in history to average over 50 in ODIs across all four SENA nations (South Africa, England, New Zealand, and Australia).
