Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed that winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia underwent successful surgery on a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. The Georgian international sustained the injury during a Champions League match against FC Barcelona and had the procedure at ASPETAR Hospital in Doha, Qatar.
Due to the surgery, Kvaratskhelia was unable to attend Monday evening's 2026 Ballon d'Or ceremony in London, where he finished sixth. PSG stated that the player will now begin his rehabilitation process as he aims to return to action.
