James Anderson could extend his remarkable career into another season after Surrey offered the 44-year-old fast bowler a contract following his departure from Lancashire.

Veteran fast bowler James Anderson could continue his cricket career after receiving a contract offer from Surrey. The 44-year-old became a free agent after Lancashire opted against renewing his contract, ending a 25-year association with the club.
Anderson was initially shocked by Lancashire's decision and had contemplated retirement, but he is now inclined to keep playing. Surrey, competing in Division One of the County Championship, hold sufficient salary-cap flexibility to accommodate the signing and hope to finalize the move.
