The 49ers have an encouraging update on rookie WR De'Zhaun Stribling, spotted walking without support as he works toward a December return from an ankle injury.

San Francisco 49ers rookie wide receiver De'Zhaun Stribling was seen walking in the locker room without crutches or a brace on Monday. The athletic update comes as an encouraging sign after Stribling suffered an ankle injury in Week 1, which has kept him sidelined since the season opener.
Head coach Kyle Shanahan recently stated that he hopes the rookie can return to action sometime in December. Stribling was selected 33rd overall by the 49ers in the 2026 NFL Draft and is expected to provide quarterback Brock Purdy with another target.
