NEW YORK – This is unfamiliar territory for Caleb Wilson. And lately, it’s been a tough residency for him to live in.Enough so that midway through the third quarter against the Knicks, Bulls coach Tiago Splitter had seen enough. Didn’t like…

Chicago Bulls head coach Tiago Splitter benched rookie forward Caleb Wilson midway through the third quarter of Wednesday's loss against the New York Knicks. Splitter cited frustrations with the 20-year-old's offensive performance, defense, and body language during the blowout defeat at Madison Square Garden. Wilson, drafted fourth overall, admitted to struggling with the unfamiliar losing stretch as the rebuilding Bulls faced their seventh loss in eight games.
Splitter emphasized that Wilson must develop resilience and treat the adversity as a valuable learning experience. The rookie forward acknowledged his on-court frustration and expressed a desire to find alternative ways to influence games when scoring opportunities are limited. Veteran guard Norman Powell offered encouragement in the locker room, urging Wilson to remain patient as Chicago builds a winning culture.
