Kohli had slammed 74 runs in the 1st ODI as India went on to win the rain-curtailed match by 5 wickets.

New Zealand fast bowler Blair Tickner described playing against Virat Kohli as an awesome opportunity ahead of the second ODI against India. Tickner acknowledged Kohli's decisive 74-run knock in India's five-wicket victory during the rain-affected series opener at Eden Park in Auckland, while expressing confidence that the hosts can bounce back.
New Zealand will also be without opening batter Devon Conway for the remainder of the series after he suffered a concussion in a training accident. Nick Kelly will replace Conway in the squad as New Zealand aim to overcome India's bowling attack, which restricted them to 185 runs in the first match.
