The Bulls' key free agent acquisition is firing away erratically and, in the process, stunting Chicago's rebuild.

Andrew Hanlon of Pippen Ain't Easy argues that veteran guard Norman Powell is hurting the Chicago Bulls through inefficient shooting and an excessively high usage rate. Despite averaging 19.3 points, the 33-year-old is shooting just 39.8 percent from the field and 30.9 percent from three-point range as of November 5.
The writer contends that Powell's heavy volume is actively hindering the development of key young players such as Matas Buzelis and Josh Giddey. Hanlon suggests that Chicago should prioritize developing its youthful core and ultimately pursue trading Powell, viewing a potential departure as addition by subtraction.
