Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso has confirmed that midfielder Moises Caicedo is an injury doubt for Sunday's Premier League match against Sunderland. Caicedo, who missed part of open training on Wednesday, is dealing with discomfort following last weekend's victory over Manchester United and will undergo a fitness check.
Alonso also revealed that Joao Pedro and Maxence Lacroix remain sidelined with long-term injuries until after the international break. However, goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez is in contention to start after recovering ahead of schedule from a fractured jaw suffered against Everton.
