Victoria paceman secures first Big Bash deal with Sydney Thunder…

Sydney Thunder head coach Andrew Flintoff has secured 20-year-old Victorian fast bowler Harry Hoekstra on his first Big Bash League contract for BBL|16. The left-arm pacer has earned state caps for Victoria in the One-Day Cup and Sheffield Shield this spring and joins a pace group that includes Trent Boult, Lockie Ferguson, and Daniel Sams.
Hoekstra has had a strong start to the domestic season, taking 5-42 against New South Wales and 6-103 against South Australia. His signing leaves Sydney Thunder with 15 of 18 roster spots filled ahead of their season opener against Adelaide Strikers on December 16.
