NHL Rumors: Nashville Predators, and Potential Nikita Kucherov Destinations

NHL rumors highlight potential future destinations for Tampa Bay Lightning star Nikita Kucherov, alongside updates regarding Nashville Predators prospect Egor Surin. ESPN's Greg Wyshynski notes that Lightning general manager Julien BriseBois is concerned about how a potential contract extension for Kucherov could impact team salary cap flexibility. Although BriseBois stated he has no intention of trading Kucherov, speculative trade or free-agency landing spots include the Montreal Canadiens, Utah Mammoth, Vegas Golden Knights, Dallas Stars, New York Rangers, and Chicago Blackhawks.

Meanwhile, agent Dan Milstein confirmed that prospect Egor Surin will officially sign and join the Nashville Predators organization at the end of the current season. While Kucherov is not expected to be moved prior to the NHL trade deadline, the article suggests Tampa Bay could explore dealing his rights during the offseason if long-term contractual terms cannot be resolved.
