Team scouts attended the matchup between No. 1 Miami and No. 4 Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana, observing top quarterback prospects Darian Mensah and CJ Carr. Additionally, the Steelers sent a scout to watch top overall prospect and wide receiver Jeremiah Smith as Ohio State faced Oregon.
Mensah entered the weekend with 2,425 passing yards and 25 touchdowns for Miami, while Carr recorded 1,849 yards and 18 touchdowns through eight games for Notre Dame.
