The Story in 60 Seconds

The Chicago Bulls have cleared veteran center Nic Claxton to make his season debut against the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday. Claxton was initially listed as questionable while recovering from a hamstring injury that sidelined him for the team's first eight games. He had previously been upgraded prior to a November 4 matchup with the New York Knicks before being cleared against Philadelphia.

Claxton joined the rebuilding Bulls during the 2026 offseason following seven seasons with the Brooklyn Nets. Chicago, which holds a 1-7 record and has started Jalen Smith in Claxton's absence, expects Claxton to take over the starting center role once he is fully acclimated.
