Arsenal suffered a convincing 3-0 defeat against Brighton and Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium in the Premier League. Manager Mikel Arteta's tactics of playing through Brighton's press reportedly played into the opposition's hands, ending Arsenal's hopes of securing a fourth consecutive win. The result marked one of the Gunners' worst performances since becoming title challengers.
Following the match, new signing Bruno Guimaraes revealed that Arsenal players were complaining about themselves and their level of performance in the dressing room. Guimaraes described the defeat as a very bad day in the office. Arsenal now face a three-week international break before returning to action against Leeds United.
