US President Donald Trump has intervened on behalf of a PGA Tour caddie.

PGA Tour caddie Eric Larson has received a presidential pardon from Donald Trump after serving nearly 11 years in prison for dealing cocaine. Larson, who was released in 2006, currently caddies for American golfer Harris English. His prior conviction had barred him from entering the United Kingdom following the introduction of electronic travel authorization rules.
The travel restriction previously prevented Larson from caddying for English at The Open, costing him an estimated £95,000 ($126,000) when English finished in second place. Larson received notification of the pardon directly from Trump after submitting a formal application to the Justice Department.
