The Story in 60 Seconds

MyGolfSpy analyzed data from its 2026 ball test to identify which golf balls deliver the best combined distance for both drivers and 7-irons. The study cross-referenced performance data for 48 different balls across slow, mid, and fast swing-speed tiers. Rather than focusing solely on tee distance, the rankings combine driver and iron distance into a single score to find the most versatile options.

For the slow swing-speed group, the Maxfli Tour X emerged as the top pick, ranking in the top six for both categories while maintaining high wedge spin. The Tour Edge Exotics and Titleist TruFeel were identified as strong alternatives. The testing revealed that iron distance is primarily determined by spin management rather than ball speed.
