Robert MacIntyre was none to pleased with an embedded-ball ruling he received at the BMW PGA Championship on Sunday.

Robert MacIntyre criticized a golf ruling that denied him relief during Sunday's final round at the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth. Despite finishing birdie-birdie-eagle to secure a share of 10th place at 13 under, the Scottish golfer was frustrated after finding his ball embedded in another player's pitch mark on the 11th hole fairway.
Under Model Local Rule F-2, relief is denied if a pitch mark is deemed repaired. DP World Tour chief referee Mark Litton confirmed that officials determined the indentation had been partly repaired, leading MacIntyre to label the regulation ridiculous.
