Scotland handed boost as opponents lose £74million star ahead of Nations League clash

Slovenia striker Benjamin Sesko has withdrawn from his national squad ahead of Saturday's Nations League match against Scotland due to a shin injury. Bostjan Cesar's side faces Scotland at Stadion Stozice in Ljubljana on September 26, marking Sebastien Pocognoli's debut as Scotland head coach.

Sesko, who plays for Manchester United under Michael Carrick, aggravated a preexisting issue and missed the weekend fixture against Fulham. Slovenia also lost Niko Prelc and Zan Zaletel to injury, while Scotland will be without Kieran Tierney and Kenny McLean.
