Celtic forward Camilo Duran compared to Donyell Malen amid Kasper Høgh patience plea

Former Scotland midfielder Don Hutchison has compared Celtic forward Camilo Duran to Roma striker Donyell Malen, urging manager Martin O'Neill to deploy the Colombian centrally. The 24-year-old joined Celtic from Qarabag in a £5.5m permanent transfer in July and has scored six goals in the 2026/27 campaign, though he has failed to score in his last five outings across multiple competitions.

Hutchison suggested that Duran and fellow forward Kasper Høgh could compete for the central role or form an attacking partnership. Høgh, an £11m record signing from Denmark, has also experienced a goal drought, failing to score in his last seven appearances following an early-season hat-trick against Kilmarnock.
