Jeremy Lauzon to get bigger role with Knights following extension

Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Jeremy Lauzon is expected to take on an expanded role this season following a six-year, $24 million contract extension signed on July 1. The 29-year-old blueliner expressed excitement about remaining with the franchise, stating that Vegas was his top choice when considering winning organizations across the league.

Lauzon originally joined Vegas from the Nashville Predators in June 2025 alongside Colton Sissons in exchange for Nic Hague. During his first season with the Knights, Lauzon played 68 games, recording 13 points, while leading all NHL defensemen with 251 hits and leading his team with 89 penalty minutes.
