Jackson Holliday To Undergo Wrist Surgery

Baltimore Orioles infielder Jackson Holliday confirmed he will undergo surgery on his left wrist later this week or early next week, according to Jake Rill of MLB.com. Holliday, who landed on the injured list last week due to wrist inflammation, stated he is not dealing with a complete tear and expects a 10-week recovery window that should allow him to return to full strength before the end of the year.

The 22-year-old posted a .640 OPS across 354 plate appearances in his third major league season following previous hamate bone surgery in the spring. In related roster moves, the Orioles placed catcher Samuel Basallo on the 7-day concussion injured list, recalled Heston Kjerstad, and announced that outfielder Tyler O'Neill received a PRP injection in his shoulder.
