Orioles Select Albert Suarez

The Baltimore Orioles have selected the contract of veteran swingman Albert Suarez for the fifth time this season. Suarez rejoins the major league roster to provide pitching innings during the club's final regular-season series against the New York Yankees. To make room on the roster, Trey Gibson was optioned to the Spring Training complex, while pitcher Kyle Bradish was transferred to the 60-day injured list.

Suarez has posted a 4.12 ERA across 29 relief appearances for Baltimore this year after repeatedly cycling through waivers and returning to the organization. Meanwhile, Gibson concludes his rookie campaign with a 6.13 ERA across nine appearances. Bradish, sidelined with a sports hernia since mid-September, is currently weighing surgery that could have him ready for 2027 Spring Training.
