Bruins’ German connection could extend to top 2027 NHL Draft prospect

The Boston Bruins reportedly scouted top German prospect Max Calce ahead of the 2027 NHL Entry Draft. Calce is a 17-year-old forward playing in Germany's Deutsche Eishockey Liga for Adler Mannheim, where he recorded three goals and an assist across his first three games of the season.

The scouting interest aligns with Boston's growing German ties under head coach Marco Sturm. Since Sturm joined the organization, the Bruins have acquired German forwards Lukas Reichel and JJ Peterka and hired assistant coach Matt McIlvane, who previously coached in Germany.
