Clark faced heckling from fans during his victory at the 2026 U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills and encountered crowd favoritism toward Rory McIlroy at the BMW Championship in August. However, Clark noted that Chicago fans have treated him well in the days leading up to the Presidents Cup.
