Galliani idea if Malago removed as FIGC President over irregularity

Giovanni Malago may be removed as FIGC President following an appeal claiming he was not a registered member of the Italian Football Federation during the June election. If he steps down, former AC Milan and Monza CEO Adriano Galliani has emerged as a candidate to lead the federation through a two-year transition period, according to La Repubblica.

A special commissioner is expected to be appointed between October 6 and October 10. While Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis criticized the effort to remove Malago over a technicality, clubs including Inter, Juventus, Roma, and Atalanta are reportedly unconvinced by Malago's early tenure.
