Bill Guerin knows exactly what Kirill Kaprizov has been missing

Minnesota Wild General Manager Bill Guerin met with star forward Kirill Kaprizov following the conclusion of last season, challenging him to demonstrate greater dominance on a night-to-night basis. Kaprizov, who recorded 45 goals and 89 points the prior season, reportedly agreed with Guerin's assessment.

Following the discussion, Kaprizov spent the offseason training in his hometown of Novokuznetsk before arriving at training camp in peak physical condition. The Wild organization hopes the conversation replicates the positive developmental impact a similar message previously had on teammate Matt Boldy.
