Former Timberwolves star D’Angelo Russell’s fall from NBA relevance is hard to believe

Former Minnesota Timberwolves guard D'Angelo Russell faces an uncertain future in the NBA as he is reportedly likely to be waived by the Memphis Grizzlies. Russell, who previously played a prominent starting role alongside Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards during Minnesota's 2021-22 season, is now competing to retain a roster spot ahead of the upcoming campaign.

After leaving the Timberwolves, Russell joined the Los Angeles Lakers in a three-team trade that sent Mike Conley and Nickeil Alexander-Walker to Minnesota.
