Wizards’ Alex Sarr limited to begin camp, still expected ready for opener

Washington Wizards forward Alex Sarr will participate on a limited basis to begin training camp next week as he recovers from right foot surgery. General manager Will Dawkins confirmed Thursday that Sarr remains on track to play in the team's regular-season opener on October 21.

Sarr underwent surgery in June after fracturing his foot during an offseason workout following an injury-shortened season where he played only 48 games. When he returns, Sarr will join a reshaped frontcourt that also features new additions Anthony Davis and Deandre Ayton.
