Raiders to table Hudson Young revised four-year, $4.4 million deal

The Canberra Raiders plan to offer Hudson Young a revised four-year, $4.4 million contract extension to prevent him from entering the open market on November 1. Canberra had previously proposed a three-year contract worth $3.3 million. The upgraded proposal would keep the back-rower tied to the club until the end of the 2031 NRL season.

Young previously explored a move to the Chiefs, but interest cooled due to salary cap valuation rules. Young, who missed the end of the season with a ruptured Achilles tendon, will discuss the terms with club officials upon returning from vacation.
