January transfer swoop mooted as Nottingham Forest attacker’s situation of interest

Eintracht Frankfurt are reportedly monitoring Nottingham Forest forward Arnaud Kalimuendo ahead of the January transfer window. The 24-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan with the German club, who attempted to sign him permanently in the summer. A potential loan deal featuring an option or obligation to buy is now being mooted after Kalimuendo has found playing time limited at the City Ground.

Kalimuendo has made only two appearances for Nottingham Forest this season, both against Leeds United in August. Although Forest head coach Oliver Glasner praised the attacker's versatility and pre-season form, Frankfurt manager Adi Hutter previously confirmed his club tried everything to complete a summer move before it fell through.
