Australians set for rare ODI series in Sri Lanka

Australia will travel to Sri Lanka for a three-match bilateral ODI series in December, marking their first visit for the format in over a decade. The matches are scheduled to take place across six days in Dambulla on December 15, 18, and 20, following the team's arrival on December 10. The tour will form part of the ongoing ICC Women's Championship 2025–2029 cycle.

Led by captain Sophie Molineux, Australia enters the series with an unblemished 19-0 record in white-ball encounters against Sri Lanka dating back to 2000. Prior to the Sri Lanka tour, Australia is set to play home ODI and T20I fixtures against Bangladesh in October. Australia has started 2026 undefeated in 50-over cricket, having secured consecutive three-match sweeps against India and the West Indies.
