The Pittsburgh Pirates optioned pitcher Khristian Curtis to the Florida Complex League on Thursday, effectively ending his 2026 season. Curtis had pitched 3 2/3 innings out of the bullpen the previous night, prompting the Pirates to recall left-hander Evan Sisk for a fresh arm ahead of an upcoming bullpen game.
Throughout the season, Curtis served as a starter, bulk reliever, and emergency bullpen arm for Pittsburgh. His notable appearances included tossing five scoreless innings in his major league debut on July 18 and contributing three scoreless innings against the Dodgers on August 23.
