AC Milan owner Gerry Cardinale reportedly aims to provide manager Ruben Amorim with a new central defender during the winter transfer window. After failing with a late €40m bid for Sporting CP's Goncalo Inacio, the Rossoneri are monitoring Lecce defender Tiago Gabriel alongside Inacio as defensive targets.
Gabriel recently renewed his contract with Lecce until 2030, but he is expected to move on in January or the following summer. Milan are reportedly prepared to pay €25m or more for a permanent transfer, though any deal depends on both clubs' league situations.
