Zachary Athekame has confirmed his desire to return to AC Milan once his loan spell at Lyon concludes. The Swiss defender joined the French side on a straight loan deal without an option to buy, allowing him regular playing time to continue his development.

The 21-year-old has recorded two goals and two assists in six appearances for Lyon under manager Paulo Fonseca. While on international duty, Athekame stated that he considers himself an AC Milan player and hopes to re-establish himself with the Rossoneri in the future.
