Humphrey Ker, a key architect of the Wrexham story, steps down from club’s board

Humphrey Ker has officially stepped down from the board of Wrexham AFC and relinquished his position as a trustee of the Wrexham Foundation. The comedy actor and writer served as executive director following the 2021 takeover by Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds, playing a central role in the club's administration and the Welcome to Wrexham documentary.

Ker had previously stepped back from daily club operations ahead of the 2024-25 season to prioritize his entertainment career. He was originally instrumental in introducing McElhenney to British football, which catalyzed the ownership group's acquisition and subsequent historic rise from the National League to the Championship.
