The Wrexham players have got a chance to recharge the batteries following a busy start to the season but Ben Sheaf could be forgiven for wishing there was a game tomorrow.
Wrexham midfielder Ben Sheaf expressed frustration over the timing of the international break shortly after making his injury comeback. The 28-year-old started in Wrexham's 2-1 Championship victory over Southampton at The Racecourse following an injury-hit start to the campaign. With three weeks before the club's next match, Sheaf is eager for consistent playing time after missing key periods of action.
Sheaf plans to use the three-week pause as a mini pre-season to build his fitness toward peak condition. Wrexham, managed by Phil Parkinson, will return to Championship action on Saturday, October 10 against Derby County at Pride Park.
